Actually, the piercing that hurts the most is the one that you've probably never thought
about. The hole that was pierced through your soul.
Consider this.....
Have you ever met a kid that had to be taught to NOT share?
"Oh no, sweetheart. You're sharing too much." I DON'T THINK SO!
Have you ever heard of a toddler that had to be taught TO whine?
"Dear, you need to whine a little more to get what you want?"
I DON'T THINK SO!
We are just born selfish and self-centered, choosing to defy authority from birth.
That is called sin.
Born with a hole in our soul...
What gauge of body piercing jewelry can fit that hole? 60 gauge? 16? 12?
There is NO body jewelry that will do for the hole pierced by sin. Except....
2000 year old....
...NAILS!
The nails that pierced the hands and feet of Jesus Christ perfectly fit the hole that sin pierced
through your soul. The pierced body of God Himself (in Jesus) provides the only "jewelry"
that will ever fit the hole in your soul...the hole in your life.
The hands and feet of Jesus were pierced as he was nailed to the cross providing what you
need for the hole pierced in the middle of your soul...so that you can truly live. Your inner spirit
needs to go from death to life. The hole pierced through your soul by sin needs the only thing
that will fit....nails..pounded through the hands and feet of the Son of God. Hammered into a
rough, wooden cross as He sacrificed His life for you.
